All Devour Game Characters Ranked from Least to Most Scary

Devour is a co-op horror game that is known for its deeply unsettling ambiance, ominous world-building, and relentlessly creepy vibe that most horror game nerds crave. The plethora of eccentric characters in Devour is what makes it a creepy masterpiece. You might laugh at them or get creeped out by them, but you surely won’t get bored in their presence. We reviewed each character’s look and ranked them in increasing order of scariness.

All Devour Game Characters Ranked on their Scariness

9. Kai

Kai Devour Character

Kai looks like Ned’s character from the Tom Holland starrer Spiderman: Homecoming. He looks like a friendly, chubby man who smiles while talking and cracks the most inappropriate jokes, but somehow gets away with it just because he has a cute, baby-like face with a perpetual smile plastered on it. If Kai approaches you in a graveyard, you wouldn’t feel nervous; you would probably ask him where’s the nearest McDonald’s or Burger King. He looks harmless, well-mannered, loyal, and like someone who would take your deepest, darkest secrets to his grave. Forget scary, Kai is the most adorable-looking character in Devour.

8. Sam McCoul

Sam McCoul Devour Character

The air tends to get a little cold when Sam McCoul enters the room; he has a dominating presence and a face that screams, “I don’t know what’s going on.” Some people have a resting bitch face; Sam has a resting-depressed face. He looks like the person who hasn’t laughed or even shed a tear in ages. He is not hideously repellent, but he has a scarily depressing look on his face so much so that you wouldn’t want your young ones being alone in his sombre presence. Sam McCoul could become the winner of the “Don’t judge a book by its cover” competition if he competes against a lineup of the most soulless looking criminals.

He looks a little scary and like someone who you wouldn’t catch smiling in ages.

7. Molly Jackson

Molly Jackson Devour Character

Molly Jackson looks like a member of a feminist cult where all members need to get their hair orange-colored to send a message to all the men that we’re quite happy and vibrant without you. She looks like someone who has a dozen cats at home and someone who is starved of the masculine affection that her younger self craved desperately. Molly looks like someone who craves attention from men; she overshares when someone listens to her out of politeness. She looks love-depraved, a product of her mother’s marriage to a violent, emotionally absent, and cheating husband.

Molly looks scary due to her hauntingly zany hair color that screams, “I can’t tolerate being ignored, and I am emotionally turbulent.”.

6. Nathan Kasongo

Nathan Kasongo Devour Character

Nathan Kasongo looks like a retired military man who has been hardened and traumatized by the bone-chilling display of manslaughter in front of his eyes. He looks like someone who has lost his ability to emote his feelings. Nathan Kasongo looks like a social misfit who doesn’t know when to smile or how to break the ice with strangers. He is annoyingly placid, to the extent of being borderline creepy. People might consider him a ticking time bomb just by looking at his weirdly calm and disturbingly brooding demeanor. Nathan looks like a once talkative kid who got sidelined by society due to his social awkwardness, and he now has lost his ability to make connections.

He is quite scary, as his face looks completely expressionless.

5. April North

April North Devour Character

April North looks like a slightly less attractive version of Halle Berry’s character from the 2002 James Bond movie aka Die Another Day. She looks like athletic, shrewd, and cunning like an assassin who has been trained in arts of seduction, hand-combat, weapons, and ignoring moral boundaries for the benefits of her super secret spy agency. April looks like a menacing, confident girl who can persuade the bad guy with her contagious charms, slyly retrieve the intel from his computer in the morning after spending a passion-filled night with him.

She has an intimidating feminine presence that can make even the strongest of men bend to her will.

4. Zara Yamashita

Zara Yamashita Devour Character

Zara Yamashita looks like the very first disciple of Mr. Miyagi that we don’t know about. She looks like she might karate punch you in the gut if your tongue somehow slipped down the slope of racism. She looks like a talked-about legendary assassin who once was the most recklessly murderous member of the fictitious Chinese Triad gang. Zara looks like the most martial artist who is now living a peaceful family life with kids of her own, but she constantly misses the days when her katana blade used to write dozens of death sentences a day.

Zara’s piercing eyes look scary, like those of a concealed ninja mom who jogs suspiciously quick for her age.

3. Anna Puerta

Anna Puerta Devour Character

Anna Puerta looks like a breathtakingly gorgeous girl who would have been popular if she wasn’t entitled, proud of her beauty, insulting, male-bashing, and a total Karen of a woman. She looks unapproachable and like an evil feminine force who might perform black magic on you if you forget to greet her in the morning someday. Anna looks like the toxically dominant feminine figure of the family who doesn’t know the word accountability and someone who manipulates her husband with crocodile tears or idiosyncratic, rageful tantrums in the middle of a public place.

Anna Puerta’s scary presence is similar to an abstract psychopathic woman character who doesn’t know what mercy or remorse is.

2. Frank Morello

Frank Morello Devour Character

Frank Morello downright just looks extremely creepy and similar to the homeless junkies who haven’t taken a bath in months and whose stench could burn your nose hair or temporarily tranquilize a squirrel for hours if it gets too close. His droopy & aimless eyes and sweaty face might make you extremely uncomfortable if he gets creepily close in your proximity. Being judgmental about someone’s looks isn’t virtuous, but seeing him come near you would instantly make your brain go, “I should have left my wallet at home,” even if he is the nicest guy on earth.

Frank Morello’s presence sucks out the joy from any room and makes you wish that he doesn’t make eye contact with you.

1. Cultist

Cultist Devour Character

The Cultist looks creepy enough to be assumed to be a distant relative of the villainous character of Michael Myers from the Halloween movie franchise. Flatten down his nose, and he would look like the one who must not be named, aka Voldemort, from the Harry Potter movies. Jokes apart, his presence would make children scream almost immediately. The glowing eyes, pale face, joker-like-knife wounds, and perpetual evil look on his face are scary enough to make anyone’s heart race. He’s the kind of guy whose grandmother doesn’t even call him a beautiful boy. The Cultist is undeniably the scariest character of Devour.
