Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 broke all the rules of graphical fidelity in the world of video games & set a new benchmark for how beautiful & realistic could a game possibly look. Apart from the jaw-dropping visuals, visceral combats, atmospheric horror and amazing sound effects, there’s one more thing that took HellBlade 2 to the next level of excitement in terms of gameplay i.e. the bosses of HellBlade 2. So, here’s a list of HellBlade 2 bosses/main villains ranked in the order of least to most terrifying.
Hellblade 2 Bosses Ranked from Least to Most Terrifying
4. Thorgestr/Slaver
Thorgestr, who is also known by the name Slaver/Slavemaster is the least terrifying boss out of all HellBlade 2 bosses. He is a typical male chauvinist pig who thinks men are the supreme species – his insulting dialogues will wake up the feminist inside you. The Slaver fights like the Vikings by using an axe in one hand and a sword in another but he is built like an athlete, which clearly shows in his agility. He doesn’t get tired and constantly belittles Senua by making her feel inferior for being a woman. Thorgestr’s never-dying spirit, terrifying grunts during sword attacks and his masculine pride make him terrifying – he just keeps fighting with the same vigor after taking countless blows.
Thorgestr looks like Sam Worthington( the human protagonist in Avatar 2009 film ), who is a handsome dude – that’s one of the main reasons why Thorgestr doesn’t give you the creeps. Senua and he are both good-looking people – their combat seems like a Mr & Mrs. Smith kind of fighting, only this time someone’s about to perish. He’s like the typical male patriarch who mistreats women other than that he looks harmless like a male model.
3. Saeigeirr
Saeigeirr is a giant who crawls, has one side of his face burnt and talks slowly in a growling manner like a zombie which makes his presence spine-chilling and creepy, to say the least. His hands are immensely strong as he destroys everything with one blow of his hand – he looks like a man who doesn’t get much sun and his skin looks incredibly pale. Despite having physical limitations, Saeigeirr looks extremely terrifying – the visual of him extending his huge hand toward Senua will make your bones shake in terror due to the insane graphical realism of this game.
Despite his hideous appearance, he looks like a gentle giant who gets misunderstood by people. You will experience both i.e. a heartfelt sympathy and heartstopping terror in his presence – the visual metaphor of “Don’t judge a book by its cover” embodied through Saeigeirr is exceptionally beautiful storytelling.
2. Aleifr
Aleifr is the final boss and he & Senua have both lost a loved one, so they’re both filled with the fury of vengeance – their fight is extremely visceral & gives you a gallon worth of adrenaline rush flowing through your veins. Aleifr’s skin has a greenish-pale & lifeless skin tone – he looks extremely creepy like a fat version of Lord Voldemort. He is slower than Senua but he swings his sword with animalistic rage & extreme confidence and his devious smile will make your skin crawl with terror which makes him the 2nd most frightening boss in HellBlade 2.
If you take another look at his scary face, he looks like a cross between Peter Pettigrew and Lord Voldemort – he has the arrogance of young Tom Marvolo Riddle and the incompetent, lethargic body language of Peter Pettigrew.
1. Ingunn/Illtauga
As soon as you break the chains by wielding the sword, you will hear the blood curdling screams of Ingunn, also known as Illtauga waking up – she’s undeniably the most scary boss in HellBlade 2 as you can see clearly. She unwinds her body and makes raspy growling noises while doing it – you can almost hear pain when she’s straightening her spine. Her heterochromic green & red eyes are the most beautiful eyes that you’ll ever see on a monstrosity. She looks like the mother of Gollum( a character from Lord of the Rings), the innocence on her scar filled face clearly reflects in her breathtaking eyes – Ingunn is the most terrifying non-terrifying monster ever.
