Clickolding is a horror game that has a simple objective, i.e., to click the clicker with all your heart until the absurd stranger wants you to, or else you might experience the room suddenly getting filled with behavioral coldness. It’s a pretty short game that puts your heart to an extreme test of bravery. This game is bizarrely unique & it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous someday, then you should play this game. We played it, and here’s our review of the ‘Clickolding’ game.
Clickolding Game Review
1. A tense room that is full of dread
The small room in Clickolding has an undeniably mossy feel; it seems as if it hasn’t seen a human face in days. Unlike most hotel rooms, you won’t be able to feel a peaceful abandonment in this dread-inducing room. The walls, the paintings, the locked doors, or the dim-lit ambiance of the room will instantly sink your heart into the depths of loneliness and despair; you’re going to feel a lack of warmth in that room. Even if you are a solitude-loving person, then you’re going to feel a strong urge to make friends after playing this game. The room in Clickolding just uproots all the joy that you might have accrued throughout the day.
It’s disheartening, but in a good ‘how horror games should be’ kind of a way.
2. A psycho stranger that creeps you out
You are going to get a strong and similar vibe from this game in comparison to the 2014 movie titled ‘Creep,’ where a stranger pays you a suspiciously handsome amount to come to his place and do some weird things. The creepy stranger in ‘Clickolding’ just wants you to click the clicker as fast or as slowly as he wants. His menacing presence is going to cripple your bravery. Each time you turn around, you’re going to feel as if he’s right behind your back waiting to pounce on you like how an apex predator does to its prey.
It’s an anxiety-fest, to be honest, but in a cinematically exhilarating way. If you’re feeling a bit too gutsy, then you should play this game.
3. A claustrophobia inducing gameplay
The game setting of being trapped in a room with a non-compromising stranger is claustrophobic enough to disturb the web-weaving spider on the wall, who is accustomed to the sight of strangers visiting daily but not this time. In a symbolic manner, the room signifies hope, and you will learn that after playing the game. The gameplay is emotionally taxing and could possibly trigger a sleepless night full of nightmares, where you are the victim in a claustrophobic hostage setting. Calling this game a nightmare fuel is an understatement; playing this game feels like riding on a rollercoaster in the sense that you are terrified every single second while aboard.
4. An unsettling climax that plays with your psyche
Most climaxes in horror games are like a ray of sunshine in a dark, dingy room that is devoid of any hope, but not in this game. Clickolding pulls out a miracle from its magical hat and presents you with a completely unique and terribly unsettling climax that you wouldn’t have imagined in the wildest of dreams. It breaks the code of morality, puts you in the hamster wheel where your options are limited, but gives you the ultimate nerve-wracking experience that a gutsy gamer or horror enthusiast wants. Overall, the game ‘Clickolding’ is a terrifying masterpiece that makes you anxious.
